Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Holy Moly! I just glanced through the Counters and Pedestals. There are almost 200 styles. How do I narrow it down?

Your first step is to identify what features you need. Do you need internal storage? How about graphics? Do you want laminate, aluminum, or fabric surfaces?

Next, narrow it down by price, if for no other reason to see the differences between a $1200 pedestal and a $3500 counter.

In addition, all the counters and pedestals are organized:

    • Portable Counters and Pedestals
    • Hybrid/Modular Counters and Pedestals
    • Custom Counters and Pedestals
    • Folding Fabric Counters and Pedestals

Don’t see exactly what you want? No problem. As you can tell, we love to design new ones.

  2. Why aren't the shipping cases included in the price?

The simple fact is that most counters and pedestals ship with exhibits. As a result, they may fit in the same case, crate, or tub as the display, but, we never know until you select your display. If we included the case, then it wouldn't reflect realistic prices in most situations.

We do list the ship case options, so you know whether it will fit in a portable case(s) or if it requires a crate.

Give us a call or send us an email if you have any questions. We want you to understand all your options.

  3. What laminates do you use?

In most cases, you can select any laminate from any domestic vendor. However, not all laminates are standard and an upcharge may apply for premimum finishes. We prefer Pionite, Wilsonart, and Nevamar.

We do limited the laminate selections on Sacagawea and Perfect 10 Display Systems, which are more price sensitive.

We’ll be happy to check if your laminate selection is standard and available. Just give us a call or send an email.

  4. Do you automatically install grommets for wire and cord management?

No. We install them at your request and direction. We never know if you want grommet(s) or the preferred location.

We strongly encourage you to make that decision before placing your order. Having a grommet or any wire management done at the show can be very expensive as opposed to having it done when it's built.

Give us a call or send us an email to review your options.

  5. Is the OTM Furniture available without the cut-outs for the inlays?

Yes, for both the tables and the chairs in the NEO line, you can order the table and chairs without the inlay. The price is the same.

The Express line doesn't have an inlay option so you may consider that line instead.

Please specify this option at the time of your order.

Should you have any questions, give us a call or send an email.

  6. Can I have my own branded inlays produced for the OTM Furniture?

Yes. In fact we recommend it.

The cut-outs for the inlays are made to accept any 1/16” thick material. The inlay measures 23.42” for the table and 9.980” for the chair.

Note: For a more semi-permanent  fit, the inlays can be held in place with double-sided tape.

Give us a call or email us if you have any questions.

  7. What is the weight of the NEO line of OTM Furniture?

For the NEO, each bar height chair weighs 9.5 lbs. and each 30" round table weighs 22 lbs. Two bar height chairs and a table with a shipping case weights 71 lbs.

  8. Can I fit 4 OTM NEO chairs and a table into one shipping case?

No. The portable roto-molded case will hold (1) table and (2) chairs. Or, you can fit (4) chairs on one case.

The table and chairs are packaged in reusable die-cut foam packaging. This keeps everything secure, safe, and sustainable.

Give us a call or email us if you have any questions.

  9. Are custom colors available for the OTM furniture?

Yes, please contact us for a quote.

  10. Do you have different sizes and heights for the OTM Furniture?

There are two lines:  NEO and Express. See the specifications for the height differences.

We will be producing more versions in the near future.

Exhibit Weight

Exhibit Weight varies depending on the packaging and the shipping method. Variables include but are not limited to:
  • Dimensional Weight vs. Actual Weight: Dimensional weight is defined as crate or case size. On most air shipments, the dimensional weight exceeds the actual weight
  • Portable Cases vs. Wood Crates or Molded Tubs (where applicable): Exhibit designs that require one wood crate would require multiple portable cases. Selecting one vs. the other affects the total weight (dimensional or actual).
  • Freight Carrier: LTL carriers (Less than Truckload) quote freight based on space used. UPS, FedEx, and air freight carriers quote freight based on either the dimensional or the actual weight of the shipment.
  • Freight Service Level (number of days): Service levels range from Same Day Delivery to Two Week Delivery.
For more information about exhibit weights and freight options, please contact your local exhibit representative.

Electrical/Cord Management

Electrical, Cord, and Wire Management varies depending on the display and each exhibitor's requirements. When ordering your trade show display, consider the following electrical/wire management issues and discuss your options with an exhibit professional:
  • Inline vs. Island Displays
  • Lead Retrieval Devices
